OEM
When
you see a part branded as OEM or with the OEM tag listed next to the
manufacturer, this means that the part has been inspected by us, and
when compared to the original dealer's parts, we confirm they are
exactly the
same manufacturer.
OEM refers to the company that originally
manufactured the product for the car manufacturer. Each part number that
show a red "OEM" means that we have
verified that for this specific part number this specific manufacturer
is/was the original manufacturer for the original dealer part.
An
automobile part may carry the designation OEM if it is made by the same
manufacturer and is the original part used when building and selling the
product. These products can typically be acquired at significant
savings by bypassing the dealership and going straight to the
manufacturer.
The OEM notation our our website indicates that
this is the exact same product as would be acquired through a
dealership, but in the manufacturers box ( or plain box ) as opposed to
the Dealer branded box.
One important note, when we label the
manufacturer as OEM, this is NOT some generic name for a company, (as
many of our competitors show), but rather the actual Original Equipment
Manufacturer. We painstakingly go through each individual part, and
compare it to one ordered directly from the Dealer.
Many times parts are labeled with this non descript
OEM brand (and in some cases, the manufacturer will remove some
of the logo/part number from the part when the part is sold not directly to the
car manufacturer.) Due to contracts with the auto manufacturer, they are not
allowed to show a Manufacturer logo or part number unless the part is
sold by that car maker directly trough one of their authorized dealers.
We can assure you that we only acquire parts from reputable distributors
& manufacturers. Our reputation is very important to us, and is
worth more than the couple bucks we may save by mis-representing our
parts.
